Accounts Payable Officer @ Advanced Aluminium Design Ltd, Horham, Eye, Suffolk.

Advanced Aluminium Design Ltd is one of the leading suppliers/fabricators of aluminium products in the UK. Since our inception in 2004, we have produced an array of aluminium products across numerous industries. Due to retirement, we are now looking for someone to join our friendly team on a flexible part-time basis, approx. 24hrs a week, office based.

Our company premises are based in Horham, near Eye, Suffolk.

Salary: £11.00 per hour – £13.00 per hour dependant on experience.

Job Purpose:

  • Processing of purchase invoices
  • Making and posting Bank transactions
  • Assisting with the processing of sales invoices.
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Supplier statement reconciliations on a monthly basis, requesting invoices where required
  • Prepare and process payments to suppliers
  • Dealing with supplier/invoice queries or internal queries in relation to accounts payable
  • Dealing with year-end audit
  • Processing Month end close
  • Process internal expenses through to payment and reconciling expense accounts
  • Ensure the creditors report is maintained, reconciled and clear of old items (including debit balances/unallocated cash or credit notes, with outstanding items flagged in a timely manner to the Directors).
  • Processing VAT payments
  • Dealing with pensions within the company
  • Administering and performing the company payroll when needed
  • Filing, scanning and archiving
  • Other ad hoc duties and reporting as required in relation to the accounts payable function

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must have Extensive knowledge of Sage 50
  • Strong IT skills for communication and documentation (Word and Excel)
  • Highly knowledge on all things VAT
  • Background knowledge on payroll/pensions
  • Experience of supplier interaction/customer interaction
  • Accuracy skills for capturing information
  • Previous experience within similar role
